How your launch monitor predicts injury before you feel it.
Fatigue is the enemy of technique. In a simulator, we often don't "feel" tired because we aren't walking hills. But your nervous system fatigues rapidly, leading to poor sequencing and injury. Your launch monitor can reveal this hidden fatigue.
Research indicates that a drop in Club Head Speed of just 2-2.5% is a primary indicator of Central Nervous System (CNS) fatigue. On a simulator, this is easy to spot. If your 100mph swing suddenly becomes 97mph despite maximum effort, your neurological recruitment is failing.
Action: Stop the session. Pushing through "neural fatigue" alters your motor patterns, leading to compensation and injury. Our coaching team designs periodized training plans (available in our Memberships) to ensure you manage this load effectively.
When your core and glutes tire, you lose the ability to maintain posture. This often manifests as a sudden shift in Attack Angle. If you are typically hitting 2° up on the driver, and you start hitting 1° down, your spine angle is collapsing.
Fatigue leads to "handsy" swings as the big muscles shut down. This often causes a flip at impact, adding dynamic loft and causing spin rates to skyrocket.
If you fade after 30 minutes, you need golf-specific conditioning. Our gym-based performance testing finds your weak links. Book online via Cliniko today.
